‘Ghulghuli’s Boighor – 4’ is our fourth attempt to organise a library in different rural places to increase the curiosity about books and literature as a whole among children. If you follow us, you are familiar with Damodarpur and Pratigya Foundation. We are contributing to their schools that focus on the development of children from the ‘Shabar’ tribe since a few months now. We opened our fourth library in ‘Hatekhori’, a school managed by them to promote the habit of reading books among everyone. The library is open to everyone in that locality and to encourage readers, we’ve promised to gift books to those who will complete at least 5 books in 6 months. Even if the children get introduced to our favourite characters like Handa-Vonda, Nonte-Fonte, Bantul the great, etc., it will be a big achievement for us. We have managed to gather enough funds to buy them a new projector which will help children to learn things audio-visually and increase their interest. Our main goal is to make every child come regularly to the school. The globes, models, charts, and games that we contributed should make the job a bit easier. A special mention to the honourable headmaster of the school in the locality, Napara High School who was present with us at the event. He promised us that he’d personally oversee the involvement of the students from his school in this public library. It was an honour for our members to share a stage with him that day.
In brief, we believe in one motto. Education should be accessible to everyone and it should be fun. Every step we take fosters this thought. We work for the overall development of the deprived and we’ll continue doing so through our small efforts.
Our heartfelt gratitude to everyone for being a part of this event directly with their physical presence or indirectly by supporting us in different ways.
