The outbreak of the corona virus (COVID-19) disease has severely impacted the whole world. In this hour of need, Ghulghuli has stepped forward to tackle the challenges posed by the Covid-19 situation and the consequent socio-economic impact on the weaker sections of society.
We have started our work with a family living near the Tollygunge metro station.
Firstly, we have to introduce Barsha, an undoubtedly brilliant student. She is one of the brightest pupils amongst the lot we would regularly teach beside the metro premises before the outbreak of the disease. We were aware of the struggles her family were having to face during this lockdown. We went to their aid. 10 kg rice, 5 kg potato, 1 kg dal, 1 kg mustard oil, soaps, toothpastes, detergents and other essential commodities were delivered to their doorsteps this very morning.
Yes, we know it’s not enough. But as it is said, ‘Someone has to start, someone has to try’. We tried, and during these hard times, we will put in all our efforts to do more for them, the society!
We would also like to mention Pritha and Tapasi Aunty who were brave enough to go out of their way amidst the lockdown, risk their own safety to buy all the things and to deliver those to Barsha’s home. Ghulghuli is highly grateful to you and extremely proud of your efforts!
In the wake of a countrywide lockdown as a result of which hundreds and thousands of families are facing economic distress, our main aim is to reach out to them and extend our help and support. As we’ve posted earlier, if you know anyone who needs this type of help in this situation, please contact us. We will do our best!
আমরা এখন সবাই ঘরবন্দি… তবু যতটা সম্ভব হচ্ছে,যতটা খোঁজ পাচ্ছি আশেপাশের মানুষদের কিছু নিত্য প্রয়োজনীয় জিনিস তুলে দেওয়ার চেষ্টা করছি।চেষ্টা করছি যেন কেউ অভুক্ত না থাকেন।
◆এদিন ঘুলঘুলির পক্ষ থেকে পৃথা আর সুদীপ্ত তার বাড়ির কাছাকাছি(শখের বাজার) পাঁচটি পরিবারকে বেশ কিছু দিনের রেশন দিয়ে এসেছে।
◆ ঘুলঘুলির পক্ষ থেকে সুমিত তার পাড়ার (কাকদ্বীপে) এক পরিবারকে কিছু সাহায্য করেছে।
আপনারাও আমাদের জানাতে পারেন,কোনো পরিবার অভুক্ত থাকলে…আমরা যথাসাধ্য চেষ্টা করবো।
